I always enjoy sharing the cards I make for the weekend challenges from the two card groups that I belong to. I don't always have the time to complete both, but it is great feeling to participate with the other ladies.
The challenge for today's card was to create a card welcoming a new member to the family. The twist was it could be a human addition or a furry friend or even a scaled or feathered friend. I selected the most standard, a new baby.
For this card I used Unity Stamps, Stella Girl by Angie Blom.
I used my Copic markers for coloring and Quick Quotes chalking ink and a cloud stencil for the background. Next I cut the background cardstock using Gina Marie's Scalloped Stitched Slimline Die to get the nice edging. I shifted it just off the edge of the fold so the scalloped edge is only on three sides. Then I carefully trimmed the colored image to fit the front of the card and secured it in place.
For the inside of this card, I used white cardstock and cut the next size smaller of the scalloped slimline die. This gave the card a nice finishing touch.
