Today I'm joining Team A on the Colour Crazy Blog Challenge (week 33) to bring you a project card from Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps, this week's sponsor.
For my card, I selected the Aromatic Summer ~ Bontanical Flora Angel Fairy, Girl Fantasy Art.
I printed the fairy image on Neenah 110# card stock and used my Copic markers for coloring. I've reference my color combination below for you also.
I wanted my card to focus on the image and elected not to add a sentiment. Instead, I was inspired by a layout by Donna Lewis on the Pink & Main Art Gallery.
I really like the way that she took the smaller image and used the multiple double matting to fill in the card front. I found a pad that had the matching greens that were in my card and followed her basic layout as my sketch.
The multiple matted layers really bring the focus of your eyes to the image. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I've been working on. Please visit the other artist on the Colour Crazy Blog Challenge and also enter your card creations.
I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not Just Scraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards.
I’ll be entering this card in the following challenges:
