You're Not a Year Older

Today I'm sharing another stamp in the series from My Favorite Things, Festive Old Friends.  It's a wonderful set of several 'Elderly' Folks designed to mix and match for humorous birthdays.    This one is a hit on the year of Quarantine ~ 2020!



Even though that's been 18 months ago now, we all remember it well and sure hope we don't have to do that again!  I love this sentiment and think it's a perfect birthday card design for about any adult.

I've selected one of the gentlemen from the set and used Copic markers for coloring.  The die set from My Favorite Things is excellent as you can see.  

After stamping the sentiment, I trimmed close to it and then ran the coordinating red Copic along the edges to make it appear to have a red liner.  

I made the red 6" x 3 1/2" mini slimline card base and covered the front with a corner of scrapbooking paper with this vintage clock face.   After adding the sentiment and the colored image I added the twine and the tiny clock at the knot.   Inside I added a 2 1/2" x 5" white box for writing to complete the card.
