I promised myself in January I would work on my Christmas cards all year long. Like most New Years Resolutions, I failed miserably. But today - as the heat waves of July roll through, I'm here with Jan's Digital Shop's Design Team as we introduce you to new Christmas images this month.
Today I'm sharing TWO new images. The first is from Jan's BELIEVE package ~ I've pulled out the sled and boots; and then farther down you will find the 2022 FREE Ornament image! Once again Jan is graciously giving away a new design during the month of July.
Here's my first completed card and a few details about it.
After sizing the image for a 5" card, I used my Copic markers for coloring.
Then I used a Glaze pen to go over the word Believe and the gold bells. It's a bit hard to see in the larger photo, but like most cards - it looks a lot better in person.
I added a black liner mat for contrast and used a rectangle corner notched die. After securing all the pieces to the 5" x 6" card base I added the gold organza bow at the top and three dark green glittery dots at the bottom right.
Next I'd like to introduce Jan's
2022 Free Ornament image, which I've made in a 6" square card.
I sized this image to just under 4" and also used Copic markers for the coloring. I used the Tattered Lace Lacy Days Square Die for the decorative edge.
After die cutting, I also used the Glaze pen on the berries throughout this card. It's amazing how that little touch gives such an extra glow to the card.
For this layout I took the burgundy and the blue patterned cardstock and cut the squares diagonally, then spaced them at each corner on the card base. Once secured, then I added the image in the center. I added several multi shades of blue crystal diamond dots around the image to complete the card.
