Last month I was very pleased to see that one of my cards was a winner in one of the challenges that I had entered! As a result of that win, I was asked to be the Guest Designer for their site, We Love Stamping (UK) in July.
The theme for this month is Anything stamped with the option of Hot Sunny Colours. For this I have selected Unity Stamp Company's Sunset Promise by Artist Angie Blom. I've paired this with a scripture from Psalm 90:12.
To make this card, I stamped the image and then scanned it to make a digital image. This allowed me to add the digital scripture and size both of them to fit together properly. Once I was satisfied with the placement, then I printed the image on 110# Neenah cardstock. I used Copic alcohol markers for my coloring.
I selected a lavender cardstock and made the 6" square card base. Then, I die cut the image and multi-colored matting using Quickutz Nesting Frames 7. Ensuring the card base was turned with the fold at the top, I then added the mat and the image to the base. To complete the card, I added the purple twine triple wrapped and tied a sunshine charm at the bow.
Thank you members of 'We Love Stamping' for inviting me to join you this month with this card. This site is such a fun one to play along in the challenges!
Thank you for stopping by today to view my blog. I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to 'Follow' my blog and to visit my site - "Not Just Scraps' on Facebook - where you can purchase my cards.

ReplyDeleteWelcome to the we love stamping team this month. Your card really does conjure up summer days and what a good idea to scan your image to resize it. I must remember to try that sometime. Sounds like an excellent solution to a common problem. I love the little sun medallion too. Thanks so much for taking the time to be out guest designer this month xx
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Pam, and a great way to coordinate the sizes of he image and scripture by scanning the image. You are an inspiration

ReplyDeleteVery belatedly my thanks for being our Guest Designer at We Love Stamping this month and for the beautiful summer scene. I came back from holiday to an MS relapse and only now able to get to my computer for some commenting, hence the delay.
