As For Me and My House...

We Shall Serve The Lord.
Joshua 24:15

I rarely blog on Sunday's, however through the combination of several conversations this week on personal morals,  consistently living each day to the glory of our God, and a perfect sketch layout challenge to illustrate this scripture from the book of Joshua... I'd like to share this posting with you today.

The sketch challenge came from Christian Card Makers, one of the first card making sites I joined about six years ago.  We focus on sharing cards, prayer requests and encouraging others through our card ministry.

This week's sketch card challenge was: "Three of the same objects across the center,  ribbon below, and a sentiment below ribbon."
Here is my completed card using the referenced scripture.

Details of making the card: I used the Stampin Up birdhouse stamp from the Flying Home set.   I used washi tape and masked off each bird house separately since the stamp is a combination of the three together.  All the houses are Copic colored with combinations of the 'E' series, then die cute with a stitched rectangle die.  I created the sentiment on the computer since my stamp of that scripture was too large.  Brown crochet thread was added after the images were glued on to my background paper and before adding to the standard A2 white card base.  For the final touch on this card, I applied liquid glaze on the windows and on the tire swing.

Thank you for stopping in today and seeing how today's card was put together.  I hope it has brought a blessing to your home also as you think about the scripture.

Serving a Risen Savior,
Pam

  1. This is so cute and the scripture so well illustrated. I am just venturing into sketch challenges. I saw this sketch and thought the three images had to be heart shaped as the sketch showed. Now I know different. Thanks again Pam. Lesson learned
