Sharing the Love ~ Day Two of Growing In Unity 2019

Good morning and welcome back for day two of my Growing in Unity cards.  For today I wanted to present a black & white vintage look but with a center pop of color.  I am inspired  by the beauty of my grand-daughter Skyla, with her long thick locks of strawberry blonde hair.  Angie Blom's George and Scarlett were the perfect image I needed to achieve this look.

The sentiment from the KOM 12/15, Crazy, Tragic, Magic Life is tremendously powerful in today's world that is so full of peer pressures.  If we can only instill in our children the value of accepting others and being accepted for who we are.  This sentiment and so many more is why I love Unity Stamps!  They continue to give us an endless supply of truly meaningful sentiments for our cards and other projects.

For the other details of my card - the strip at the bottom of George and Scarlett - that too is a Unity stamp (KOM 12/13) that I heat embossed on vellum and tore the edges.  My glue is carefully hidden behind the hearts.   The Copic colored image and the sentiment are both die cut using Gina Marie Designs X-Stitched Rectangle dies.

Many thanks to each of you for coming by today.  If you are not a follower of my blog, I would love to have you join today.

Be sure to leave your comment below for your chance to win a bag of Unity stamps at the end of my GIU week.

Serving a Risen Savior,
Pam

  20. Pam, this is an amazing card. Love the black, white and gray colors. It just shows that red isn't always necessary for love cards. The lesson regarding our children is something we all need to think about. Thanks Pam
