Easel Birthday card ~ Let's Celebrate

Today's Polkadoodles challenge was a triple request.  All of the design team members were to make an Easel Card, using a required color palette only and it also needed to be a Birthday card. Wow!

So here's my finished card and then a few more details about making it.

I've used 'Invitation-Winnie' from the Winnie Winter Collection.  After sizing her to about 4" tall I printed her on Neenah 110# cardstock.

This is the Color Palette that was provided. From this I selected Copics G24, YG67, YG45, E25, E23. and colored the image.  This was quite a challenge, since with Copic coloring you normally use more shades to get good blending.

Next I used Penny Black, Grateful Stackers for die cutting the image and the frame mat behind the image.

I cut the card base 5" x 11" and folded it for the easel card design.  Next, using Polkadoodles decorative papers from Blushing Blooms Craft pack, I covered the small rectangle panel with the lighter green paper and the inside of the card base with the brown stripped paper. After adding the top tag (Let's Celebrate), then I secured the colored image to the decorated flap of the Easel card.  The Happy Birthday tag holds the card open and has a double layer of foam squares on the left corner.  The right corner is secured to the card base and there is a small green flower at the tag tab.  Lastly, I added clear Wink of Stella to the balloon and Diamond Stickles to all the fur areas
