Believe in the Magic!

I'm continuing to play along with Beccy's Place Challenge of 30 days of Christmas cards, the challenge today is 'Humorous'.  

I selected the Believe in the Magic set by Your Next Stamp.




 The stamp itself is on the small size but if you die cut it right leaving plenty around it, it makes a nice A2 sized card.  Plus with the snow 'dots' being on a separate stamp, it's easy to fill in around the reindeer to fill up space.

I used my Copic markers for coloring and the Gina Marie Designs, Nested Label Two for the decorative edge.  I selected the lavender background matting, but then there wasn't enough contrast with the white around the reindeer.  I took Copic V15 and carefully edged the die cut.  This is an easy and great way to add a hint of contrast to your cards.

Next I stamped the 'Snow Happy!' sentiment at the bottom (using Versa Fine Clair, Monarch) and secured each layer to the A2 card base.  I added the purple organza ribbon at the fold and tied in the Merry Christmas charm in the knot.  Then I secured the tiny google eyes to the reindeer and allowed them to dry for a few minutes.

Lastly (always last) I added the Diamond Stickles to all of the falling snow 'dots'. The bling always makes the cards pop!

    Well, this definitely made me chuckle Pam! It's those eyes! Great idea to add the googly eyes, they look especially amusing when they're going in different directions, as if he might have hit the eggnog a little hard this year. Love it! Thanks for the tip about the marker, that's a great idea to create extra contrast.
