Today's Valentine card is a CAS - Clean and Simple - design using one of the many Recollections clear stamp sets. This one has lots of adorable Valentine cuties that give you endless possibilities, many that don't require coloring skills too.
For this one, I stamped the image in black and did the hearts and the string heart in red Versa Claire. If you aren't familiar with 'jar' stamping, always stamp your inside image first, then add the jar 'on top' of the first stamped image. I added a little bit of Copic BG11 around the edge of the jar and C3 on the lid. I colored in the two red hearts around the words with R24 and then added a shadow with W3.
Next I used the Gina Marie Designs Wonky Stitched Rectangle die for the edge on the colored image and on the heart patterned paper also. I layered and secured both layers on a matching green A2 sized card base to complete the card.
If this was for an older child or an adult adding enamel dots and/or a ribbon would have easily taken it up a notch to meet those needs.
Thank you for stopping by today. I
enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit
