Wish You Were Here

Each month on the weekend near the 25th, my card swap group does a weekend challenge for Christmas cards.  I'm thrilled that we are doing this knowing how nice it will be in late November to already have a few Christmas cards completed.

This past weekend's challenge for the Christmas card was that it must have at least one ornament on it.

I selected Unity Stamps, Holiday Hello by Tierra Jackson.

I think this little snow baby is adorable!

My additional challenge for this card, I made it while at the beach, with limited supplies.... i.e. NO die cutting machine.

I stamped the image on Neenah 110# card stock and used my Copic markers for coloring.  I found the light blue die cut, with the circle already cut, in my box of bits and pieces. That was a lucky find!   I mounted the image and mat on a navy card base and added the wooden sentiment.

Do you ever struggle with the decision of a bow or string or nothing across the top?  I've been know to make large bows... which really overpowered this little fellow!  So for this one I selected a white sparkly tie with a wisp of white organza ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not Just Scraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards and other crafting items.

I’ll be entering this card in the following challenges:

Serving a Risen Savior,
