Hello May!

May is finally here!  With our self quarantines, doesn't it feel like April was a year long.  Here in SC we are still quarantined for two more weeks.  Whatever it takes to be safe I believe we will be a better nation through this.

Today I am here to share from Jan's Digital Stamps Design Team.  I selected May Flowers for my project card this month.

I picked this one not only for the beautiful flowers, but I love the antique metal door plate and crystal door knob.  It made me think of visiting friends and family in May!

For this card, the flowers on the door knob is a very long image.  I sized this one down to just under 6".  I also took the separate image of the hanging keys and added it under the flowers on the front of the basket.  I printed the sentiment 'Hello May" separately so I could make a tag.

I used my Copic markers for coloring and a stitched rectangle die for cutting afterwards.  I mounted the image on a 6" paper, turning it 'corner to corner', then trimmed off 3 of the points.

I covered a 6" card base with the deep blue-green solid paper, then added a mint green doily and then the colored image.  For the finishing touch, I added three mint green enameled dots.

I hope that you will check out Jan's Digi Stamps and also join the monthly blog challenge.

  1. What a super unusual digi stamp. I have lots and lots of real stamps but I never seem to have the time to use them with along all the other crafts I do so I really enjoy seeing what everyone else is doing with their stamps.

  8. Pam, I love that you chose to showcase "MAY FLOWERS"... When we were kids, we made paper baskets and picked garden flowers to fill them and hung them on doors of people we liked to celebrate spring and planting .... We would also do the May Pole Dance.... I know..... I'm old! Ha!
    Great card!
    Hugs,
