Today's card is for all my Cat Loving friends!
I made this card for my sister-in-law's birthday to resemble her 'Moonpie'.
Of all the hundreds of stamps I own, none of them seemed to be what I wanted to celebrate her birthday, so of course, I had to purchase a new image. This is Picket Fence's Cali Kitten which is just what I wanted.
I stamped the image several times on a heavy Watercolor paper. I actually tried to use water colors and also an oxide technique for this wide eyed cat but I didn't like the results. Back to my comfortable Copics.
I used the Tattered Lace Beaded Nesting Chain Die for the edges. After mounting the image on a deep purple card base, I added the strip sentiment at the top and the die cut 'fabulous' at the bottom.
Last, I carefully added glossy accents to his eyes.
Those eyes seem to be watching you don't they!
Thank you for stopping by today. I enjoy sharing my work
with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not JustScraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards and other crafting items.
