Close to My Heart

Today's card is one I made for my best friend Cindy.  She has been my life long best friend since her family moved next door in 1962!  Talk about a long time friendship! WE have been so very blessed to maintain our strong bond through many of life's ups and downs.

I was excited when Unity Stamps announced digital stamps for a limited time.  I for one, hope it has been profitable enough for them to continue after we get out of quarantine.

The image I selected from the Digital section is There Will Be Sunshine.  Here's my completed card, then a bit about it. 

After printing the image on Neenah 110# card stock, I used my Copic markers to color the girls and swing.  I used Quick Quotes chalking ink and my cloud stencil for the light pink background.  Then I used the Penny Black Elegant Stitches die for the edging on the  image and the background paper.   I used a Kraft A2 card base and added a loopy bow for the finishing touch. 

If you haven't ordered a digital from Unity, you should give it a try. Their packages come with the single images but additionally come with the card layouts done for you, including the sentiments. All you have to do is print them.   How cool is that!
