Recently I was asked to make a nurse card to resemble their daughter who is an ER nurse in California. I had saved Unity Stamps A Work of Heart Nurse card with the heartbeat by Echo Noble and knew I wanted to use that design for my inspiration.
Here's what I came up with and the inspiration photo afterwards.
For my card, I sized the digital image horizontal to fit an A2 card base. I pulled in the heartbeat (compliments of Google) and layered it under the nurse image. After printing on Neenah 110# card stock, I used my Copic markers for coloring.
I used the Penny Black Elegant Stitching die for the image edge and the burgundy background paper. I die cut the word Thank You and an open heart using the same burgundy paper.
After mounting these onto the card base, then I tied a small pink twine to the stethoscope charm and used a heavy duty glue dot to secure them inside the heart.
Similar to the inspiration card but unique in it's own way too.
Thank you for stopping by today. I enjoy sharing my work
with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not JustScraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards and other crafting items.
