Even a Mask Can't Hide....

I think we all as parents feel so bad for our children and grand children over the past few months who haven't been able to celebrate their birthdays.  It's just not right, but so necessary...even now as we start to be able to see others again.

Today's card is another birthday card for a sweet little lady who is celebrating her birthday all month with Happy Mail!

In the photograph I received to go by for her card, she has long strawberry blonde hair that was braided.  Straight to Whimsy Stamps, Polka Dot Pals Fern by artist Barbara Sproatmeyer.

I stamped the fence image on Neenah 110 # card stock and the image of the girl and duck on a separate area.   After coloring with Copic markers, I used the Pink & Main Cloudy Frame to cut the fence area to fit inside this frame.  I die cut the frame again using the blue solid paper.

Next I actually took the 'glasses' stamp from the set and stamped it on a scrap of paper.  I cut it out and trimmed it down until it fit across her face for my Quarantine Mask.    Once it was the size and shape I needed, I traced it on Neenah card stock and colored it with BG11 and BG13, then glued it to her face.   Ta-Da~ A mask!

I used a standard A2 size card base,  adhering first the frame, then adding the fence image.  I glued the girl at her feet and placed a foam square behind her head.

I typed up the sentiment and used a standard stitched fishtail die.  After adhering it to the card base, I added a small yellow-gold enamel dot.  Since the card was going to be mailed, I elected not to add a bow to this one.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not Just Scraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards and other crafting items.

I’ll be entering this card in the following challenges:
