Put a Star on the Tree

Today I'm here to share with you the card I made for a weekend challenge 'card with a tree'.

For this challenge I selected Whimsy Stamps, Penguin with a Star from my stash when I was on the Whimsy Digital Design Team.

After printing the image on Neenah 110# cardstock, I used Copic markers for coloring.  The die cut edge was done using Gina Marie Designs Pierced Nested Labels.

The A2 card base is covered with black snowflake paper.  After securing the image to the card base, I added diamond Stickles to the snowflakes.  This added the little bit of sparkle to complete the card.

Sending You a Little Get Well Tea

Happy Monday!

Today I'd like to share a sweet Stampendous, House Mouse get well card I made using 'Cure All Tea'.  I love this stamp because it's different than just any get well image and could easily be colored and matted for a masculine touch.

But today's card is more on the feminine side with the salmon and aqua green shades.

After stamping on Neenah 110# cardstock, I've used my Copic markers for coloring.  This Gina Marie Designs Pierced Nested Label Die is one of my favorites too.  It seems to dress up the card a bit without being all lacy and overpowering.

The card base is a standard A2 sized and I covered it with the coordinating plaid paper.  Then I secured the image to the card base to have the completed card.

The Seeds You Plant

We're here this afternoon with the Corrosive Challenge Blog November release and our sponsor Fred She Said.

For my card today I've selected the 'The 'Ole Tractor' image and made a large 6" square card.

After printing on Neenah 110# card stock, I used my Copic markers for coloring.  The edges of all the pieces were done using Memory Box Matinee Rectangle Die set.  The sentiment was stamped on cream cardstock using brown VersaClaire ink.

I covered the 6" kraft card base with the gold 'wheat' paper then added the matting and image, followed by the washi tape strip and then the sentiment.

I hope you will join us on the Corrosive Challenge blog with your cards and also see what the other Design Team Members have made.

How Thankful We Are

Our challenge for the Polkadoodles Design Team this week is 'Thank You ~ Not a Card'.  With the Thanksgiving Holidays approaching, I decided to make Napkin Holders for my place settings.

For this project I've reached back to Polkadoodles 2015 Autumn/Fall digi Stamps Mono digital Download Bundle and found this cute scarecrow that worked perfect. I also added the 'free' Thankful sentiment download at the bottom. I've colored him with Copic markers and added a scalloped border, then cut a duplication pattern out of chocolate brown for the background and threaded an orange organza ribbon through to tie in the back.  What a pretty setting it made!

I hope you will join us on the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog with your card.

Christmas Together Bears

Today I'm here with the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog and I wanted to share a super cute image from C. C. Designs Rubber Stamps.  These adorable bears are one of the images from their Christmas Together package.

For this card I stamped the image on Neenah 110 # card stock and used my Copic markers for Coloring.  I've used the Memory Makers Matinee die set for the image and the brown matting.

Then I selected a light green A2 sized card base and secured both layers to it to complete the simple but cute card.

I hope you will join us on the Colour Crazy Challenge blog with your card entries too!

Feeling Broken?

Today I'd like to share a sweet and dainty image from Stamping Bella called Bundle Girl with Berries.

It's a bit early for this 'winter' image here in the south, but she is just too cute not to share now.

The image and sentiment  are stamped on Neenah 110 cardstock and colored with my Copic markers.  I used the Memory Box Wrapped Scalloped Rectangle die to cut the completed image and the pale blue large matting. When adding the image to the matting, I tilted it slightly higher on the right since the branch was contoured that direction.  I completed the card with a pale lavender organza triple looped bow.

I just love the way this one turned out.  Anyone feeling down I know would sure love it too!

Snowy Flight ~ Be Still

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made for a recent swap.  The challenge was Winter Scene and I selected Penny Black, Inc. Snowy Flight for this one.

I just love their "BIG" stamps  that are just right to fill an A2 size or spread out for a nice focal point for a larger square card base.

After stamping on Neenah 110 # cardstock, I used my Copic markers for coloring.  I used the left branch as my edge 'frame' and colored just past the tips of the branches.   When my coloring was complete, I die cut the image into an oval shape and also cut another oval 1/4" larger in solid cranberry for the mat to go behind the image.

I covered the square card base with a blue variegated snowflake pattern then secured the image and matting to the card.  Lastly I added the red dotted organza bow to finish the card.

She Finds Her Paradise

For my posting for Morgan's Artworld, I'd like to present Raven

Doesn't she remind you of the run-away in one of those thick romance novels you use to read?

For my project, I've colored her with my Copics and also colored in a beach scene in the background.  I used the Stitched Top Note Die from Pink & Main for the image and the blue matting,  Then I covered a 6" square of kraft with the patterned paper, folded it in half and added the die cut design to the front to complete the card.

Jan's Christmas 2021 Ornaments

Hopefully you have been a follower of Jan's Digital Stamps for several years and have received her free ornament stamps each Christmas.  She's really outdone herself again this year!!

This beautiful pair of scroll worked ornaments (Ornaments 2021) are being offered or free for a limited time.   Don't you just love the curls of the ribbon at the bottom?  Ever so gracefully and daintily intertwined among the smaller ornaments.  This is going to be a big hit!

To color my card, I used the Copic Multiliner pens for the larger ornaments - selecting green and blue, then used regular Copic sketch pens for the small ornaments and ribbon.

I made the card design a slimline by simply adding more width to each layer and I also added a liner to give more contrast.

Hope Shines Through

We're starting a new month at the Critter Crazy Challenge Blog and hoping that you will enter your Animal cards.

For my entry this month, I've selected Whimsy Stamps, DoveArt Giraffe with a couple of die cuts added.

For this design I started with the stamped giraffe on Neenah 110# cardstock and my Copic markers.  Afterwards I fussy cut close to the image and set him aside.  I used distressed Oxides and a makeup brush to get the blended background.  The black tree silhouette is from Hero Arts and the green border Grass is from Lawn Fawn.  I simply glued the tree, then giraffe, then the grass onto another piece of card stock.

Next I put this in the Misti and stamped the sentiment from the Penny Black set Hope Shines.  Then I cut a black liner mat and attached to the card base, and finally added the card front to complete the card.
