The Secret Ingredient

If you've been following the posts last week about my Spring Retreat, I'm taking a pause today to bring you my Mid-month Inspirational post for Jan's Digital Stamp Shop.

Please pop back tomorrow to see the rest of the For Keeps Sake Spring Retreat!

For my project card this month I've selected Jan's Flour Child (Which by the way, is currently on sale!).  Oh how I wish I'd had this image at my Fall Retreat where the theme was Memories Are Homemade.  These adorable kids in the kitchen are just too sweet!

Here's my finished card, then a few things about how it's made.

After sizing for an A2 card front, I printed the image on Neenah 110# card stock,  I used my Copic markers for coloring and then die cut the edge with Pink & Main's Stitched Rounded Rectangle Die.  I selected the background mat (which says 'dairy' and 'milk') to match the little boys shirt and die cut it using the same set.

For this one, I used a side fold card base so that I could tie the brown twine around the left side fold.  For the finishing touch I added a hand mixer charm.

I hope you'll visit Jan's store for other great digital images and also her Challenge Blog. There you can see the other Design Team members cards of inspiration and also add your own to the challenge!

Thank you for stopping by today to view my blog.  I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not Just Scraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards.
