His Mercies Are New Every Morning

This afternoon I'm here with the Design Team for The Corrosive Challenge Blog.  For April we have two sponsors ~ LeAnn's World 101 and Alicia Bel.

For my project card, I've selected this beautiful hummingbird floral image called Sweet Nectar from LeAnn's World 101.

Here's may completed card, then a few details about creating it.

I began by sizing the image to about 4" square and printed it on Neenah 110# card stock.  The image is colored with my Copic markers (referenced below) and then die cut with  Craft Essential Ornate Scallop Nesting Frames.

The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy, Be Encouraged, which I stamped on a scrap and die cut in the waving banner die.

I used a standard A2 card base - which was yellow and then added the plaid patterned paper.  I decided the image was too 'white' close to the edge, so I went back and traced the edge with Copic YG63. After securing the image and the sentiment to the front of the card, I added the green sparkly organza ribbon with a cross charm tied in the knot.

Be sure to visit the Corrosive Challenge Blog to see the other Design Team creations and to add your cards to the challenge!
