National Mutt Day Plus Sketch Challenge

Saturday, July 30th was National Mutt Day and our card making group honored that day with our weekend challenge cards.  For my card I also used the Bookfold Sketch challenge from another site.  I've used the stamped image from Stamping Bella, Tiny Towne, Dawn Loves Her Doggie.

I stamped the image on Neenah 110# cardstock and used my Copic markers for coloring.  The decorative edge was done with the Gina Marie Designs Wonky Stitched Die,  The Kraft card base is A2 sized with the fold on the left side.

The background papers are 1 x 4 and 5 1/4 x 4. Next layer is the completed image, followed by the sentiment which I matted with a solid piece of the background paper.

I used a brown twine to triple wrap  at the left fold and then added a cross charm for the finishing touch.

Thank you for stopping by today to view my blog.  I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not Just Scraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards.

I’ll be entering this card in the following challenges:

  1. What a sweet image Pam, and so beautifully coloured - love that bookbinding 'fold' - a great and quite simple way to give a 'different' look to a card
