Give Every Day

Today's card was made for Unity Stamps January New Beginnings Challenge.  I purchased their stamp, Your Future Needs You by designer Angie Blom because of her beautiful braided hair.   Here is my completed card entry.

To make this card, I stamped the image on Neenah 110# card stock and colored her with Copic markers.  I fussy cut her out and put her to the side while I made the double shaker card.

I took a 10 x 10 piece of watercolor paper and used my Oxide Ink to make a sunrise top (using Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber on the top 3/4), and to make the water for the bottom  (using Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers on the bottom 1/4).  I used the 'wave' from the stamp set and stamped it continuously across the blue/green part of the oxide paper.  I used the Pink and Main, Sunny Cover Die and cut one in the oxide paper and then cut 6 more out of white to make a stacked window double shaker card.

To assemble, I started by gluing the background oxide piece to the card base,  then added the six white die cut pieces next, carefully gluing and stacking each one. I carefully added the sequins at the top and bottom in each little section before adding the sheet of acetate.  The top layer that completes the stack is the oxide layer that was die cut away.

Next I carefully glued the girl over the frame of the sunrise die and then I added the sentiment tag with the small organza ribbon.

I will be adding this card in the Unity Stamp January New Beginning Challenge and also the following challenge:

Thank you for stopping by today and I appreciate your comments too.
