My husband and I are getting ready to slip away to the beach for a few days, our 'delayed honeymoon' finally!  I thought this QKR Stampede Bikini Frog card would be appropriate for today.  

I did use the digital stamp, however some of you will be pleased to find this in both unmounted and cling also.

I sized the image to fit the A2 card front and printed on Neenah 110# card stock.  After coloring with my Copic markers, I used a cloud stencil and a light blue Distressed Oxide to make the clouds.  The sentiment is a Cas-ual Friday stamp, from the Franklyism set.

I covered the card base with a coordinating red patterned paper with a generic X-Stitched edge for it and the image also. Love the way she turned out!

Clip, Clip Hooray!

Today I'm sharing the June image from Imagine That Digi Stamps called Lawn Ranger.  You should check it out as it has four different 'male' images that are perfect for Father's Day.  Remember this is the site that will give you the package FREE if you blog their card and share through Social Media. 

I'll be bringing you several of their cards, since I hope to try out each image, but here's the first one today.

I sized the image and sentiment for the A2 card front and printed it on Neenah 110# card stock.  I've used my Copic markers for coloring and the My Favorite Things Elegant Rectangle Stax die for the image and dark green liner.  

I covered the yellow card base with a lighter green patterned paper then secured the mat and image in the center. Ribbon or twine could be added along with other embellishments.  I've elected to leave this one to this point until I'm ready to send it out.   Sometimes those final additions need to 'fit' the receiver.

Best Fishes for a Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!  

Please join me today in wishing Mr. Frank a Happy 91st birthday!  YIPPEE!!!

He's one busy fellow but loves to find a quiet spot for a good book or a fishing pole with no bait!

So for his birthday, I've made his card using Cute As A Button, 'I Will Make You Fishers of Men' digital stamp set. I also used Art Impressions 'Reel Great Guys' for the bucket of fish.

 After sized to fit an 4 x 6 card base, I printed the image on Neenah 110# card stock.  I stamped the bucket of fish on a scrap piece of Neenah.   All of the images are colored with Copic markers.

When complete, I fussy cut the bucket of fish out and trimmed the larger image close to the edges on the side. The card base is covered with a coordinating blue. Next, I secured the image to the card base and then added a strip at the top and bottom of red micro washi tape.  All done and ready to be hand delivered shortly.

Simply Blessed

Today I'd like to share a card I recently made using two digital packages from Graciellie Designs.  For this card I used the floral stem from Magnolia Branch and the sentiment from Simply Blessed. 

After sizing the digital image of the floral branch to about 3" long, I added the sentiment close to the center of the image.  I printed this on Neenah 110# cardstock and then used my Copic markers for coloring.  

I used the Gina Marie Designs Wonky Stitched Rectangle die for the edging.  I love the peachy floral patterned I found to coordinate with the deeper peach colored flowers.  

After mounting both layers on a side fold A2 card base, I added the organza ribbon and cross charm to complete the design.

The Lord is Good

Today I'm featuring another one of the '20's Fella's' from C. C. Designs.  This time I've matched him up with the scripture from Psalm 100:5.

After stamping the boy with Memento Black ink and the sentiment with VersaFine Black, I used my Copic markers for coloring.  I'd also selected the background paper first and colored his outfit to match the paper. 

I used the Memory Maker Matinee Rectangle die for the background paper and I also took the darkest green from this color pallet and edged the colored image with the card contrasting color.  After securing the image and matting to the A2 sized card base, I added the twine spider webbing at the top and knotted the cross.

What's Shakin?

Today I'd like to share the card I recently made for my brother's birthday.  It's been several weeks ago now ~ my posting has been delayed and delayed waiting on the card to arrive at his house.  It's always amazing that some mail can arrive in 2 days and others going to the same place take 3+ weeks.  

Mike is very talented in several musical instruments, so that was the theme I selected.  I've used The Saxophonist from The Paper Shelter and also the juke box and accessories from Sugar Pea Designs, Juke Box Jive.  

Here's his completed card and then a little about making it. 

I started by stamping the juke box on a 6" square of Neehah 110# cardstock.  I stamped the Coke and Float on an additional smaller piece and printed the digital X man from Paper Shelter on another piece of cardstock.  

I used Copic markers for coloring all the pieces and then fussy cut the Coke, float and the sax player. Next I mounted the juke box on a 6" card base then added the black and white check strip down the left side.  

I stamped the 'What's Shakin?' under the juke box using Versafine black ink.  Then added a tiny foam dot under the float and Coke, gluing them at the base and allowing the top to have dimension.  

Lastly, I added a wobbler to the back of the sax player and added him to the card. It really turned out so cute!

Coffee With God

Today I'd like to share a card I made using Joy Clair's 'Coffee & Jesus' digital stamp set.  

This is a great little digi set with SEVEN sentiments - most are great for Bible journaling too. 

I used Copic markers for coloring (B01, B02, Y15) and the Gina Marie Designs Drop Pendant die for the image and the blue matting.  Both are mounted on a Yellow coordinating card base. I used a new roll of twine to tie on the wooden heart and didn't realize it was 'waxed'.  While you can tie it as tight as you can, it always seems to work it's way loose if it's waxed.  But I added a glue dot under the heart and that did the trick for this one.

What's for Dinner?

This afternoon we're kicking off a new month at The Corrosive Blog Challenge with our sponsor Cute As A Button.  

For my project card, I've selected 'Follow Me' set and pulled out just the girl and the sea gull.  Here's what I came up with. 

 I printed both images on Neenah 110# cardstock and used my Copic markers for coloring them.  I used a cloud edged die for the matting, sizing it to fit a slimline card.  Since the image doesn't come the entire length, adding a 'sub-scene' at the bottom gives us room to place the sentiment with a few extras.

Hooray for the 4th of July!

I'm joining in today with another section of Colour Crazy Challenge Blog Design Team to bring you our sponsor this week ~ TwisToon Digi Stamps.  I've selected a cute gnome image to feature today.  This is their 3 Wise Monkey Gnomes celebrating the upcoming Fourth of July events!

After printing, I colored the image with my Copic markers and then fussy cut it out.  I used the Gina Marie Designs Fireworks Stencil and a red and blue distressed oxide to make a background panel.  

The card base is 5 1/2" square and then I added the layers, Blue Stars, Red strip at bottom, and then the Blue Stars binding strip over the red.  I added a couple of small foam squares behind each of the hats then glued the image at their feet.  For the final touch, I added the die cut Hooray!

You're My Treasure!

 Today I'm posting with the Design Team from Polkadoodles Crafting in the UK.  Our theme for this week is Father's Day and I've selected Pirate Little Dude for my project card.

I'm really anxious to post this card as I used this image to teach a Copic coloring class back in the spring.  I'm wondering if any of the ladies finished their cards?  

I used Copic markers for coloring this image and the digital papers from their USA July4th Celebration set.  This set is on sale now!  The sentiment is part of the Pirate set and I used a miscellaneous DAD stamp to add to the flag.
