With Heartfelt Sympathy

One of the fun things about digital packages is merging several images without having to physically make a mask and stamp multiple times or locations.  I know this is a bit scary if you don't do it all the time, but it's easy to learn in just about any software you have.  

My images today are from Polka Dot Orchard and I'm going to share two different cards using three digital sets, all drawn by Artist Jeanie Hays. 

For the first card, I've used the boat and the sentiment from Wishing You Peace and the Seagull from You Peli-can Do It.

I use Photoshop Elements 12 for my digital work so each image is a layer.  I brought the boat into a new document, then pulled the Pelican in and 'attached' him to the rope of the boat.  The third layer is the sentiment from the Wishing You Peace package.  The size of mine isn't in stone - you should adjust the sizes to what appeals to you.

After Copic coloring, I used the Pink & Main Scalloped Square die and a 5 1/2" square navy card base.   Copic used are referenced at the end of the blog. 

For the second card - I changed the size a little, making the boat appear to be farther away.  I added the sentiment from Feel Better Soon.  

After Copic coloring with slightly lighter colors, I used Whimsy Notched Square die set and a gray 5 1/2" square card base.

A Cheerful Heart ~

It's time for another card using that adorable stamp set from C. C. Designs, Rockabilly Gals.  This is the second girl in the set of four.  It's really hard to pick a favorite! 

Isn't that image just the cutest?    

To make this card, I sized the image on the small side - about 2 x 3 inches.  I used Copic markers for coloring and Penny Black's Elegant Stitching for the edging.  

I matted a coordinating blue mat, also die cut with the elegant stitching, on the A2 card base.  I then added a lazer cut decorative strip by Creative Memories down the left side.  After adding the image to the right, then I completed the card with the die cut sentiment.

For my IG Hop card I selected Polka Dot Orchard's Joy of God's Love.

To make this card, I sized the image and sentiment ~ 4" square to fit a 5 1/2" square card base.   After printing on Neenah 110# card stock, I used my Copic markers for coloring.  

I have a Lang calendar that was a gift from my brother and sister-in-law.  I used the June rose from the calendar as inspiration for my color selections.

Next, I selected the coordinating yellow and pink papers.  I used Whimsy's Notched Stitched Nesting Square dies to cut the image and mats.   I also cut the card base, carefully putting the top cut line slight above the fold of the card base.    After adhering the layers, I added three enamel dots to complete the card.

Always Something to be Grateful For

Happy Monday from Jan's Digital Stamp Shop and all the Design Team ladies.   It's a new month, a new blog challenge, and lots of inspirational cards from the team. 

For my project card, I've selected one of the new releases, Wild Flower Blossoms.    I added the sentiment from Alone Together.

This is a large digital package with 5 images and 6 sentiments.  Be sure to pop over the Jan's Shop to see all the details of this package. 

To make my card, I selected the corner flower image and sized it to fill an A2 card front.  I used my Copic markers for coloring.  I selected a matching yellow card base that is 5 1/2" square, and a patterned mat that coordinated with the colored image.  After adhering the mat to the card base, then I used the Penny Black Elegant Stitching die on the flower image and also made two 1" x 3" rectangle strips out of the same shade of yellow as the base and used the same Elegant Stitching die.   Next I glued the strips and added the colored image on top.  I finished the card with six enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.

Today I'm here with The Corrosive Challenge Blog Design Team.

One of our two sponsors for this month is Ike's Art and I've selected Lake Love for my project card today. 

I sized the image to fit an A2 card front and used my Copic markers.  This image has a lot of details, which of course equals a LOT of Copics!  I used Gina Marie Designs X Stitched Rectangle dies for the image and the red matting.  Next I added the sentiment from Penny Black's A Rose set. Then I completed the card by adhering the matting and image to a sky blue card base.

Giraffe's Peaking

Happy Saturday my crafting friends!  I'm here today to share the last card I made in support of a Slimline Challenge on Christian Card Maker's (on Facebook). 

I selected Dustin Pike's Giraffe's Peeking and also the Whimsy Stamp Slimline Window Die. 

Here's my completed card ~ 

To make this card I stamped two of the three giraffe's included in the package on to Neenah 110# card stock.  I used my Copic markers for coloring.   

Next I selected a light yellow paper for the base and trimmed it down to 7 1/2" x 8 1/2", folding on the 7 1/2" side of the yellow base paper.    I die cut the chocolate brown card stock using Whimsy Slimline Window Die.  I trimmed one diagonal strip from each end window to allow for the larger images. Then I trimmed the two giraffe images down to fit under the frames and glued them from the back.  I then glued the brown window frame down on the card base and returned it to my Misti for adding the sentiment stamping.  

I think this is another great Whimsy Stamp image. I especially love  the larger faces for Copic coloring.

Good morning from Colour Crazy Craft Challenge Design Team!

For my project card I selected Hello Spring ~ which of course could be used in any season.

I sized the image to fit on a standard A2 card base and then colored with my Copic markers.  I used the Memory Box Matinee Nesting Rectangle dies for the image and the coordinating plaid matting.  I used an orange card base that also coordinated with the markers that I'd used.  Quick and easy and perfect to send out for any occasion.

What The Duck!

Time for another comical card from Angie Blom's Lucky Ducks digital set. 

How cute and funny is this one! 

To make this card, I sized the image and sentiment to fit an A2 Card base and printed on Neenah 110# card stock.  I used my Copic markers for coloring.  I die cut the edge of the colored image and the pink matting with the Pink & Main Rounded Stitched Rectangle dies.  

After adhering the mat and colored image to the card base, I added two strips of micro green sparkly washi tape and then added the pink string on the side with a felt button. 

I can see using this card for birthday, congratulations or just a cute thinking of you note.

Hello from 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Design Team!  

Today I'd like to share my project card using  'Folk Barn' from our sponsor this month, Jan's Digital Stamp Shop.

For this card I spent a little time layering some of the digital elements in the package.  After sizing the barn image to fit an A2 card front, I added the digital sentiment, Farm Sweet Farm.  Then I added the horses and reversed their images to place them on the right side of the barn.  So many variations in using digital stamps!

After I was happy with the image, I printed it on Neenah 110# card stock.  I used my Copic markers for coloring (referenced below).  For the edge, I used the Memory Makers Matinee Rectangle die and then mounted the colored image on a brown A2 card base.
