For the Civilized Man

Back in 1091, King Camp Gillette founded the American Safety Razor Company. One of their first catchy slogans was, "The country's future is written in the faces of young men." How many of you remember your Dad's or Grandfather's shaving mug sitting on the counter or shelf.
For me, my Grandfather used his Dad's ~ a keepsake that my brother now has.

All that to say - when I ran across these two stamps in the Thrift Store ~ I knew I wanted them for masculine cards.  These are made by Artful Legacy.

And of course the Thrift Store pricing was way past perfect!

I decided to use these for the Tech Challenge in my card swap group this month.  We were to make a 'Buckle Fold' card using this video for the technique.

Here's my finished card that went all the way from SC to New Mexico.

The flap 'unbuckles' opening up to a spot to write your message.

It was a fun technique to try and I loved using these stamps.
Thank you for stopping by today.  I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not JustScraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards and other crafting items.

I’ll be entering this card in the following challenges:

Serving a Risen Savior,
Pam

P. S.  I looked up Artful Legacy Stamps, it's a sweet short story, if you'd like to read about this small South Carolina Company. Click HERE
