I'm back this afternoon with the Design Team for the All Dressed Up Digital Stamps as we open the July Challenge. Have you checked to see if you were a winner from last month?
For this card I selected 'Little Sports Champ'.
I had a 12 x 12 piece of paper with randomly printed skateboards to use for the background. Even with the image enlarged to just over 5" using the entire skateboard background was too much. But I cut 5 or 6 apart and used them as my color palette for selecting the Copic marker colors for the boy and his dog.
After coloring the ADU image, I fussy cut him out and inked the edges on this piece and the skateboards. I used a gray 5 1/2" square card base and added the vertical striped cardstock paper for my background.
I used two of the skateboards and placed them vertically, on the top left and the other on the bottom right. Next I added the sentiment 'Life is Good' followed by the Little Sports Champ, making sure each layer was securely down on the card. Lastly I took a thin piece of washi tape and added across the bottom of the image, slightly under the skateboard, to resemble the road.
I think it turned out pretty cute and could be used for lots of occasions. Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been working on.
