A Surprise Under the Tree

Good afternoon from Morgan's Creative Team!  We're posting today to showcase another set of Morgan's Artworld images and I'm hoping that you will join us with this challenge!

I've selected her Winter Bundle 3, using the Boy with Present image from this set.

I sized the image to about 3 1/2" tall and printed it on Neenah 110# cardstock paper.  I've again used my Copic markers for coloring and then fussy cut out the entire colored image.

I selected a 5 1/2" card bases to give me room to make a scene to go with the image I'd colored.  I made a 'wallpaper' background and 'wooden' flooring background.  The baseboard paper adds the depth and separates the two patterned papers.  For the window, I printed an image from Google and colored the framework.

When I secured the image to the card base, I used foam squares for the back of his head, arms and the tree top but secured the bottom of the tree and the legs of the boy.  This also gives the card depth.

Lastly I added the stamped Merry Christmas which completed this card and added one more to my Christmas stash!
