Have a DINO-Mite Birthday!

Today's card was made especially for my grandson who will be celebrating his fourth birthday this weekend.
Dinosaurs are the theme of his bedroom and although he loves all the current fad toys, his box of dinosaurs remains special to him and probably always will.

The focal point of the card - the dinosaur, is actually one of the wooden painted pieces that you can purchase at your local craft store.  I had this in his box for his scrapbook but decided it might be too heavy for the page.
The balloons are stamped and die cut from a 2011 Whimsy Set ---  Balloon Sentiments {Raindrop Echo Designs} and the matching dies are Balloon Die Set {Whimsy Shapeology Dies}. The stamps and die have two sizes which really give you lots of options.
I added just a touch of Copic YG01 on the balloons and B04 around the edges, then used large pop dots after tying the strings.
The strings are tucked under the wooden piece and all are glued using my favorite pH neutral book binding adhesive.
With a few wrappings of fun yarn and mounting on a 6 x 6 card base, the completed card is ready for my Little Man's big day!

Thank you for stopping by and following my blog.
I invite you to my Facebook site, Not Just Scraps if you are interested in purchasing my cards.
