This afternoon I'm joining the All Dressed Up Design Team ladies for the second look at the new images for October. Designer Wendy Burns gave us Bow Dress and Candy Stripe. Which was your favorite? Now that would be a tough choice!
I have Bow Dress for my Design Team project and here's what I came up with for her.
I printed the image about 4 1/2" tall and left a lot of blank space around her. Then I colored her with my Copic markers and die cut the stitched oval using Pink & Main's Stitched Oval Die Set.
Finding the 'right' tree for the image took a bit, I didn't want it to be over powering the colored image and sure didn't want to lose sight of the image in all of the extra embellishments.
I used the Poppy Stamps, Merry Bauble Tree cut in black cardstock for the outline die and then again in the red patterned paper for the inside piece of the tree. I added a layer of fun foam to the back of the tree to raise it even with the Bow Dress Girl.
