Relax - 90 Is Only a Number!

 I love that my family, like lots of others, celebrate our birthdays all month long!  Sometimes the events and family can't all be together on just that one day, so why not spread the fun out.  

Such was the plan and my brother Mike and I planned around his son Aaron's surprise trip to see Dad for his 90th birthday (March 4).  Mike did an amazing job getting the travelers in place at the local lunch spot and arranging for Dad to meet him for lunch after Wednesday morning Bible study.  Boy was he surprised when he realized his grandson along with his wife and youngest daughter were sitting at the table.

That was surprise celebration one of two!  Yesterday my husband, two children and spouses, along with my Sister in law's son and two children added to the family numbers from the previous day and surprised Dad and Pat with the 'Big Birthday Party'.    We enjoyed a loaded baked potato bar, birthday cake and chocolate eclair along with many of the stories Dad told of wild events of his early childhood.

It truly was a great afternoon full of special memories for each of us.   

Here's the card I made ofr Dad.  He just had to buy a new car and certainly hasn't learned all the bells and whistles, so you'll get the context of the card. 

After the card was completed, I went back and added glossy accents to the windshield.

My Dad always wears a hat ~ 'to keep the heat in' ~ lol.  So he did receive a special baseball cap that was neon green.  It has PARTY on the front and I added the multi colored pompom on top!  Lots of additional laughs! 

Enjoy every day you can with your family.  God is so very good today and every day!  Love you Dad - Happy Birthday!
