Each year I carry on the tradition started by my Mother of making a special ornament for each of my kids. Over the years this has grown to include all of the family members and a few special friends. This year I made three different ornaments that I'd like to share with you.
The first one was inspired by my online friend Ester Ashburg's posting on October 7th. This is my favorite and I made 40 of this design.
Front
Back
The base is a 3" wooden ornament shape, painted white with a black top. The image is stamped using Versa Clair Nocturne and the star is a die cut that I secured in the sky.
The back sentiment is computer generated and selected to remember Carl's first Christmas Choir performance at the new church where we are now members.
After completing the front and back, I used Mod Podge to seal the stamped front, then added the white organza ribbon and bow to the topper.
The second ornament was made using the Sizzix Snowflurry die and soda cans. There are three layers and they are secured together with the center brad. Carl helped die cut these and we made 20 of them. These were inspired by the one I received last year from Lisa at Yours Truly Greetings.
The third ornament I only made 8 - for my grandchildren. They are made using the bottlebrush Christmas trees and a wooden bead.
Each were very different from the other but fun to make and even more fun to have on our tree.
Thanks for stopping by today ~
