T ~ Three Trees and a Snowman

 T ~ Three Trees & a Snowman

December 20th ~ Alpha T

I think this was my 'surprise' stamp this year.  It is one I've had  a couple of years and it never made it to the ink and paper.  But it did this year and I loved it so much I made several!

The other surprise is it's an Our Daily Bread stamp - Snowman.  No scripture - which of course isn't on all of theirs but this being an older stamp, most had scripture.  Love the way it stamps and how well the trees filled in when colored.

We're getting close to the end....

S ~ Snow Good Sledding

December 20th ~ Alpha S

Today's Alpha S card was a fun card I made with a new stamp from Colorado Crafts.  Hope you were lucky enough to get in on some of their amazing sales in the last couple of months!

This image is from 'Snow Good Sledding' a perfect title for the stamp!

Is snow sledding something you get to do in the winter where you live?

The Man in RED Pants

R ~ Red Pants and Rolled List

T 18 ~ Alpha R

This card is quite different than the others I made, and you may have remembered seeing it post on the Classic Design Challenge Blog as my Design Team Card.  I used it for my Alpha R challenge card on Beccy's place also.

It's different because of the background.  This is a digital background that I sized and printed.  The Santa with his ROLLED list of good girls and boys is a Dr. Digi image, 'Naughty or Nice'.  It was sized to fit the background then colored and fussy cut to fit back into the design. I added the red plaid strips at the top and bottom to ground the photo and to have a spot to add the Dear Santa Claus sticker that I used as the header.

Which list are you on this year... Naughty or Nice?????

Q ~ Quick Figure 8

Q ~ Quick Figure 8

December 17 ~ Alpha Q

The alpha Q isn't an easy one to come up with.  Although Beccy has this down to a science and a library of words for each letter of the alphabet!

I've used All Dressed Up stamps digital image 'Skater Girl' for my Quick Figure 8 for this letter.

I used My Favorite Things, Stitched Scallop Basic Edgers die to cut right below the image and also to cut the burgundy mat about 1/4" which was placed below the colored image.  I added the floral patterned paper across the bottom and a preprinted sentiment near the bottom to complete the card.

Be The Light

 It's Finally Here!

Word Art Wednesday's Annual Christmas Blog Hop

If you are just popping in here first then you're probably a bit surprised to see you are at the END of the line up for this event ~ but no worries...  we have you covered to continue right back to the top of the lineup of blogs to put your comments in.

Unity Stamp Company is our sponsor for this Blog Hop and there are lots of prizes!

First let's look at our featured scripture which comes from Psalm 119 verse 105.
You are welcome to right click on the scripture and save to your files for future use, here from my blog or from the Word Art Wednesday blog.

For my Design Team card, I selected Unity Stamps, Be The Light by artist Phyllis Harris, to illustrate with this scripture.

To make this card, I stamped the image and colored her with Copic markers, then fussy cut and set her aside.  I used a background piece from my Stamp Camp 2023 stash.  We used NOVO Shimmer Powders over a white embossed snowflake stamp to make the bright wintery piece.

After trimming and attaching to the yellow card base, I added the coordinating purple 1 1/2" strip across the bottom and the die cut printed scripture.  This stamp set comes with an arched stamp that says 'Be The Light'  but with this busy background, I needed a header title that went straight across.  I die cut the computer generated title with a similar shaped die, secured it across the top of the card design and added a 1/4" purple strip to cover the edge and to tie it in with the bottom purple strip.

I love the glow of the candle reflecting on her face and body.  Isn't that the way we are when we allow God to be our light, to lead our feet and guide our path.

Thank you for stopping by today to see what I've been coloring. Be sure to comment for your chance to win one of our Blog Hop prizes!

Our monthly prize for this special Annual Christmas Blog Hop includes two $25 gift certificates from Unity Stamps.  In addition, our Admin for Word Art Wednesday will be drawing from the comments for a winner for the Close to my Heart, 'A Cup of Cheer' stamp set.  As an additional Merry Christmas prize, I will also be randomly drawing one winner from the comments for my prize package of Our Daily Bread, 'Brocade Background' and Unity Stamps, 'Saved'.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm the final stop on this fun blog hop if you've been working through the Word Art Wednesday Design Team List.  You can head back to Word Art Wednesday to check to be sure you've commented on all the posted cards.

P ~ Polar Bear and Pink Accessories

P ~ Polar Bear and Pink Accessories

December 16 ~ Alpha P

This one is for my Great Granddaughter who has the most beautiful red curly hair!   'Christmas Bear Hugs' by All Dressed Up Digital Stamps, colored with Copic markers.

I borrowed a snowflake stamp from another set and randomly stamped the flakes around the card front, then added clear Stickles to each of them.   I used the 'Rounded Stitched Rectangles' by Pink & Main for the edging. Then I added the stamp sentiment at the bottom, mounted on the colored cardstock and added the blank piece inside for writing.

Big Hugs - ADU December #169

This afternoon I'm posting with the All Dressed Up Digital Design Team as we open the last All Dressed Up Blog Challenge for 2025!

For my project card, I've selected 'Snowman Hug' which could be used for other things than just Christmas.

I sized the image for just a little larger than a A2 card so that I'd have room to add the larger word dies.  After printing I colored the image with Copic markers and highlighted the snow bubbles with Cool Mint Stickles.  I also added clear Wink of Stella to both scarves and pompoms for that extra sparkle.

Next I added a wide gold mat which was die cut using the Spellbinders Classic Fluted Rectangle Die. I mounted both the completed image and the mat to the deep green card base.  I used the lighter green cardstock to die cut the title words 'BIG HUGS' with the set from Whimsy Shapeology Stamps.   Once the words were securely glued at a slight angle to the card front, the card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I've been coloring.  I hope you'll check out all the ADU Design Team cards on the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog and enter your cards there too.

If you're paying attention to the postings you will have already noticed I posted Alpha 'O' yesterday and skipped 'N'.  He was NOWHERE to be found!

Now today it seems he's ready to show off!

This one could easily be Non-Traditional Christmas Colors with the shades I used in my coloring and the yellow card base.  It's fun to try different colors and card sizes.

Don't forget the washi tape - add it for your sentiment or across the back of the envelope.

Warm Healing Wishes

This morning we are opening the Classic Design Blog Challenge for December/January.  The challenge is always Anything goes with an optional twist, which for this month is 'Make it Merry'. Our sponsor this time is Goha Digital Designs and I have selected 'Girl with Large Coffee Mug' for the card image and made a Get Well card.

We also have a second prize for this challenge.  A gift voucher to Digi Doodle Studios is being provided by our challenge admin as a Merry Christmas!

I used a floral matting on the 5" x 6" card base to make it bright and cheery.  Then I  used Gina Marie Designs, Lacey Layers Oval set on the Copic colored image and a coordinating orange cardstock.  I really like the lacey look they gave the image.   I added a purple mat behind the sentiment 'Warm Healing Wishes ~ ' and secured it near the bottom center of the card front.   Lastly I added the three metallic enameled dots randomly around the colored image.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been coloring.  I hope you will check out all the Classic Team's card creations on the Classic Design Challenge and submit your cards too.

O ~ Oval Outdoor Scene

O ~ Oval Outdoor Scene

December 14 ~ Alpha O

Today's scenic Outdoor snowy view may look cozy and welcoming but it sure wouldn't be a view from here in South Carolina where we rarely have snow.  The Picket Fence stamp 'Home for the Holidays' does however slightly resemble the beautiful log cabin style home of our neighbors.

Do you send cards that resemble others homes, animals or other material things?

M ~ Merry Masterboards

M ~ Merry Masterboards

December 13th ~ Alpha M

One of the many new things I learned at Stamp Camp 2025 last June was all about making a Masterboard.  I've learned since then there must be 101 different ways or techniques in doing these fun boards so there's not really a right or wrong way!

For my Alpha M posting I'm sharing two cards again; both were made from the same masterboard - one done with Christmas scrap paper pieces.

The image on the first one is from Beccy's Place, Mr. Snowman ~ isn't he the cutest!

and the Silver Bells are also from Beccy's Place.

Can you tell yet that I loved Beccy's digital images?  And YES, I do miss being able to purchase them.

L ~ Light of the World

L ~ Lantern ~ Lord ~ Light of the World

December 12th ~ Alpha L

Today's image is from Beccy's Place, 'Peace and Light'. I love the message in this card, using our Lord and Savior as a Lantern,  a Light of the World, the warm glow that starts deep in our hearts.

This package has two main images and four sentiments, each one just as pretty and just as useful especially at the Christmas season.

Unfortunately this digital package is no longer available, as Beccy's Place has stopped the sale of her digital packages.  Maybe one day they will be released again.

K ~ Kings ~ Adore Him

K ~ Kings Adore Him

December 11th ~ Alpha K

Creative Worship (remarketed from Sweet 'n Sassy) is a great site to purchase religious stamps and scripture sentiments. I am really enjoying using their products in my Bible Journaling project too.

Today I've used their 'Adore Him' set and stepped down the images and scripture for a different layout.

Love that extra sparkle in the background paper, especially the yellow star!  Do you use scriptures on or inside your cards?

J ~ JOY Doubled!

 December 10th ~ Alpha J

JOY is a good word especially at Christmas!  I again have two cards for 'alpha J'.

My first card is a single 'Poinsettia Framed' by Magenta Stamps, a gifted stamp from my friend Lynne.  I love the aqua and red combination and have made several of these.

'A Christmas Hello' from Picket Fence was used for this very large second card.  After coloring with Copics, the image was fussy cut out and added the background paper along with the sentiment and the gold glittery snowflakes.

The both definitely gave me JOY in creating with them.  I hope they will give you peace and joy during this Christmas season!

I ~ Ice Skating

December 9th ~ Alpha I

Ice skates always remind me of a Victorian Christmas.   For this card I used the image and sentiment from Jan's Digital Designs, Christmas Skates package.  The decorative edge was achieved using Gina Marie Designs Scalloped Stitched Rectangle dies.

Do you remember decorating your Christmas tree in the Victorian styles?

H ~ Holly Sprig on Black

December 8th ~ Alpha H

One of the many techniques that Beccy does frequently on her blog is cards with black backgrounds.  Hers are always stunning and the image just pops out so beautifully.

I decided to fussy cut this sprig of holly - Beccy's design - to put on the black background.  Lesson one - use a large image that doesn't have a lot of details!

It turned out okay but it took quite a while to achieve.  I used the Spellbinders, Fluted Classic Oval die for the black background.

How do you feel about fussy cutting images?

G - Shades of Green

December 7th ~ Alpha G

I do love coloring birds and this pretty little fellow is right up my alley, perched on this sprig of GREEN holly.  I didn't use Copics for this one.  He's done with water coloring.

This image is from Hobby Art, Ltd and the set is called Village Post.  I used the Stitched Oval dies from Pink and Main on the completed image and a deep GREEN holly matting with a red liner mat  and enamel sentiment to complete the design.

May your days be merry as Christmas is approaching fast!

Jesus

Welcome to the first posting for December for the Word Art Wednesday Blog Challenge for Weeks #728-729.  Our lovely sponsor for the edition is Stamp Simply Stamps and our featured scripture is Matthew 1:21.

For my Design Team card I have used the beautifully designed star from the Stamp Simply's Merry Christmas package.

After placing the star in the center of the card template, I layered the scripture from Matthew below the image and sized it to the right proportion.

I wanted the purity of the message and decided nothing else was needed for this design.  After printing, I used the Spellbinders, Fluted Classic Rectangle die set for both the image and for the stary sky background.  I also cut a liner mat from gold glitter paper and added behind the image.

I cut the white cardstock base to 5" x 6" and secured the background paper, then added the image and a glitter paper liner to the center, ensuring each layer was securely glued.

I really like the simplicity of this card and the message it shares.  It's definitely one that doesn't need a lot of extras.
Don't forget to hop over to the Word Art Wednesday blog to download your free copy of the featured scripture from Matthew 1:21 and to join us by entering your card.

A is for Angel

During November my online friend Linda and I played along with quite a few crafters worldwide in the 'Month of Holiday Cards Challenge with Beccy of Beccy's Place. Each day we posted cards through the alphabet with a few extras, had races, treasure hunts, lucky numbers and comment winners.

For the next few weeks I'll be sharing the cards I used for those postings with you each day.  There won't be the usual level of detail ~ there's just not enough time in December!

I hope you'll enjoy the little peeks at my Christmas 2025 stash.  I've sure have a lot of fun making them over the last two months.

Starting with A ~ Angel

Stampendous ~ Joyful Noise
