Today I'm sharing the second card entry for the 2024 Copictopia Creative Barnraiser Competition.
For this one I've made a 5" x 7" belated birthday card using the horse and kid (which could be a girl or boy) from two of the stamp packages and the digital paper for the background behind the horse.
I used Copic markers for the coloring and used the same shades of yellow and purple for both images so they would coordinate well on the card. I also die cut the fence with a rust color cardstock that matched closely with the font color in the sentiments and the colored images as well. I used the same cardstock to mat both sentiments.
For the card assembly I started at the bottom with the green patterned paper, then slightly overlapping secured the cow patterned paper, and then added the die cut fence. Next I added a layer of fun foam behind the birthday sentiment, and secured it near the bottom right corner. Leaving just a little space, I added the kid next followed by the horse, tucking his legs/hoofs carefully behind the fence. Using several shades of green, I added the grass and shadow around the kid and at the base of a few of the fence posts. I added the 'Haayyy There' sentiment to the right of the horse, tucking the corner under the horse to balance the card images. Lastly I added the thin strip of blue washi tape across the top of the cow patterned paper to complete the card design.
