Today I am posting with the Design Team for Word Art Wednesday for challenge week 706-707. Our sponsor for this edition is Lawn Fawn Stamps and the featured scripture is Isaiah 54:17.
Remember you can get the featured scripture free on the WAW blog by simply right clicking on the scripture image and saving to your hard drive folder. Then it's free for you to use on your cards and tags.
I wanted to create a military scene to go with the selected scripture for my Design team card. I used the Unity Stamp, Vintage Burlap for the background. I stamped and heat embossed it, then water colored randomly with the orange, yellow and mint green.
Next I used two miscellaneous army vehicle dies and cut them using brown semi glossy card stock. I cut a second set out of tan to use as the shadow, trying not to punch out the smaller pieces but coloring them in with brown pencil.
I cutout and drew the gray mountains for the vehicles to look like they were climbing a hill and then mounted them driving up the mountain roads. I used the same gray card stock to mat the sentiment and then mounted it in the top right corner.
Next I mounted the scene on the darker aqua green mat and then onto the black card base to complete the card as shown.
I hope you will visit the Word Art Wednesday blog site and see the other design team cards and post your cards also. Lawn Fawn sponsor prize is a $25 gift card!
Thanks for stopping by to see mine!
