Hangin' With Ma Heifers

If you love Copic coloring, chances are you have run across Cristena Bagne at Copictopia.  I had the pleasure of attending one of her retreats located in North Carolina and enjoy following her work as well as her talented daughter, Meadow.

They are a busy mother and daughter pair with many adventures as they grow their business.  Currently for the month of June, they are raising funds for the 'Barn Renovation' by having a Coloring Competition.

Today I'm sharing my first card for this competition.

There were four digital image sets and one digital paper set available to purchase and your donation for the purchase went to the fundraiser.   For this card I've used two of the digital papers, the girl and sentiment from one design and the two cows from another.

All of the images were colored with Copic markers and fussy cut by hand.  When building the scene, I added the white die cut fence and the thin washi tape over the layer lines.  I also added 'fun foam' behind the heads of the cows and the girl to add a little dimension to the card.  After everything was secured on the card front, I went back and added the multiple shades of green grass at the fence and below each character to create the shadows.  Lastly I added the thin magenta ribbon at the top fold with a heart charm to complete the design.

Thank you for stopping by today to view my blog. I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to 'Follow' my blog and to visit my site - "Not Just Scraps' on Facebook - where you can purchase my cards.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

  7. Wow, you did a great job. Your scene is so beautifully designed. The girl and the cows are fabulously colored with your Copics and the grass, the fence and the design paper complement each other so beautifully. It all looks so great. And this bow with the little heart completes your card. It's a real eye-catcher.
Thank you for taking part in the last Everybody Art Challenge.
    Hugs, Uschi
