Unity Fall Color Challenge

For the Unity Fall Color Challenge, I selected the bicycle image from the September 2017 Kit of the Month - So cute with the pumpkins tied on the back!

The image is stamped on Neenah cardstock and Copic colored. The die used for the border is the Gina Marie Wonky Stitches 4 Layers. After coloring the bicycle, I just wasn't sure what to do with the background.

Looking a several that have been done in the past, they all seemed to have been done in water colors which I really didn't have time to go dig out another group of supplies.  So I started pulling Copics, and pulling and pulling.

I'm not an artist but I was well pleased with the shades of purple at the bottom that not only gave the shadows of the bicycle but also gave the look of water or brick or even just the reflection from the setting sun.  So don't ever be afraid to just start adding to your background.  It's no big deal if you mess it up ~ it's ART.  It may not be your current way, but it may be a new door that is being opened for you to go through to something new in your life.

Thank you for stopping by and following my work.
