Designer Wrapping Paper

This week's Polkadoodle Design Team Challenge was to 'Create your own gift wrap on a box,' using Polkadoodles products.

I decided to use one of Polkadoodles Christmas Crafting Dies, the PD7365 Fancy Intricate Bauble .  This is one of my favorite Christmas dies which can be used in many ways.

Here's my completed project, and then a few details and photos of how I made the gift wrap.

I started with a single cut of the Bauble die and glued it to a scrap of white cardstock.  Then I used Copic markers B06 and RV66 to color in all of the 'white space'.

I scanned this into my computer then duplicated the image over the 8 1/2" x 11" card stock.

After printing the first sheet (bottom), I realized there was too much space between the ornament designs. To fix that, I just continued copying the bauble at a reduced size and filled in the spaces.  However, I still wasn't happy with it.

Then I decided it needed a little stencil work also, so I grabbed two Polkadoodles stencils.  For the larger ornament page, I used the Confetti Layering Stencils with Distressed Oxides Wild Honey, Pumice Stone and Shaded Lilac.

For the ornament sheet with small and large ornaments, I used Timeless Rose, Delicious Swirls stencil and Distressed Oxide Spun Sugar.

Next I wrapped my gift boxes with each piece and tied coordinating Organza ribbon bows on each.  Turned out pretty cute, don't you think!
