How do you encourage others? Do you tell someone that they've done a good job, or that you appreciate what they have done? Do you pay attention when someone is down and just needs someone to listen to them?
Or is that hard for you to do?
In 1 Thessalonians 5:11 it says:
"Therefore encourage one another and
build each other up..."
I think this is one of the many things we fail miserably at every day, from our children and family to friends and others we don't even know. What a better world we would have if we could all just take this one verse of scripture and apply it somewhere every day.
I recently received a beautiful painting of a hummingbird from a dear friend who is teaching herself to paint. As I found this image to make a thank you card for her I ran across the sentiment from a very old (and discontinued) digital package from Graciellie Designs.
What a perfect sentiment of encouragement for this card!
