I'm here today with my project card for 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Blog Challenge.
Our current sponsor for April is Digi Doodles Studios Digital Stamps and the image I used for my card is Sequanna Mermaid.
To make this card I sized her to be about 4" x 4.5" and then printed her using Neenah 110# Cardstock. Then the fun part ~ coloring with my Copic markers. The colors I used are listed below for your reference. Afterwards I used Whimsy Stamps Notched Square die for the image and made a dark purple frame using two of these dies together.
There are several ways to assemble a shaker card, but for mine, I glued the image to the lavender 5.5" card base. Then I added my foam tape all the way around the image, following the die cut lines. I also cut one piece of transparency the size of the purple frame. I added a generous spoon of sequins, beads and hearts on top of the image. Next I added the transparency to the top of the foam strip, pushing it down securely all the way around. Lastly I added a glue line around the transparency and then placed the purple frame on top and set it aside to dry. Once it was dry, I added the stamped starfish and the sentiment tag to complete the shaker card project.
I’ll be entering
this card in the following challenges:
