Through His Blood

This morning a new challenge opens on Word Art Wednesday.  We are featuring the scripture from Colossians 1:14 and you can download this for your future use from the Word Art Wednesday blog site.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Stik2Anything.  They are offering the winner of the challenge a nice assortment of supplies, so be sure to get your handmade cards entered below.

For my project card, I have used Altenew, Flowering Dogwood  and the scripture from Colossians 1:14.

After stamping the dogwood image I colored them with my Copic markers then carefully trimmed as close as possible.  This is another set that is quite large, which is fun for me when coloring but makes it more difficult to make an A2 sized card.  This one is on a 4" x 6" solid yellow card base.

After sizing it to fit my card designs, I printed the scripture and then used the Penny Black Elegant Stitching die set for the edge.   I started with this piece by securing it near the bottom left of the designer paper I had selected.  Then I added the flower piece being careful not to cover up the words and ensuring I had all of it on the card.

I actually did have to remove one leaf to make it work.  Keep things like that in mind.  You don't have to start all over, just because one thing doesn't work.  It's your card design, so if it needs one less leaf, then that's okay!

This is another card that the background paper made the image pop.  I wish I could say thank you and accept the comments as my work - but I can't.  It's just a beautiful watercolor preprinted paper and the scripture just tops it off.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will stop in again soon.  I have lots more to share!

Don't forget to pop over to the Word Art Wednesday blog so you can see the other Design Team cards and get your free scripture download.
