Good afternoon from Morgan's ArtWorld and her Design Team as we open the February challenge.
For my card, I've selected Winter 2, a big eyed curious looking little fellow.
With his winter jacket and scarf on and soft snow falling around him, I decided to have him gazing into the woods. I think his facial expression shows deep thoughts.
I pulled the Woodland scene stencil from Polkadoodles and my Distressed Oxides. Working on mixed media paper, I created the background. I decided on the famous sentiment from Ralph Waldo Emerson and printed it to the size needed.
I used Copic markers for coloring the Winter 2 image and then die cut it closely using a stitched rectangle.
The card base is a 6" square, top fold. I added the deep blue matting for 'night time' then added a black liner mat under the background. Next I secured the sentiment in the top right corner and the little boy in the bottom left corner. Lastly I used Diamond Sparkles to add the snowflakes over the entire card.
