Happy Friday from the Design Team for Jan's Digi Stamp Shop! We're all here today to bring you our mid-month inspiration.
I've selected Spring Time for my project card today.
This package (which is currently on sale) comes with 6 color images, 4 black and white images and 7 sentiments.
Here's my completed card and then a few things
about how I made it.
I started by sizing the bird house to about 3" x 1-1/2". Then I placed the right facing bird on the ledge of the house and made him about half the size of the house. Next I pulled the sentiment in below the image and when I had it all sized appealing to my eye, I printed it on Neenah 110# cardstock.
I used my Copic markers for coloring (referenced below). After coloring the house, I used a small vine stencil and my green micro pen to draw in the green leaves on the front of the bird house. I used the brown micro pen to lightly draw in the roof shingles on the top of the bird house. Then I decided to add a stencil behind the birdhouse, so I pulled the Crafter's Workshop, Sun Flare Remnant stencil out and carefully used Antique Linen, Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick Oxides to lightly stencil the sun in. I die cut the edge using Spellbinders Curved Rectangle and I also cut the background patterned paper with the same die set.
I mounted the mat and the colored image on a blue A2 card base, then added the brown twine on the folded side and tied a wild duck feather in the knot to complete the card.
