Earlier this week a friend shared the link to a new Etsy store for digital stamp images. It was perfect timing as I was looking for something special for my neighbor who turned NINETY today (June14th).
The new store was for Di's Digi's ~ an artist I was already familiar with from seeing her work on Crafting of Hue. As I shopped through her images, I came across 'Wheelbarrow Ted'.
Perfect! My neighbors love to work in their beautiful yard full of flowers - I know he will be hoping for a day of rest on his big birthday!
To make this card I sized the image for an A2 sized card and used Copic Markers for coloring. I finished the edges with Gina Marie Designs Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. I wanted the title to be large and loved the little whoop-dee-dooo! stamp, so I changed my design to 6" square card base. I use Spellbinder clear stamp sentiments. I covered the solid green base with a green plaid paper, then added the colored image and sentiments. I added a small red enamel dot to the tag sentiment and then a red twine wrapped bow to finish the card.
I hope my neighbor has many more relaxing birthdays!
Thank you for stopping by today. I enjoy sharing my work
with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit my site ~ “Not JustScraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards and other crafting items.
