For the Art Impression Coffee Challenge,
I grabbed the image closes to home!
Why of course that would be the Hot Java Mama!
This afternoon I tried stenciling for the first time using my oval makeup brushes
and Oxide Inks.
First, I stamped the image and used Copic markers for coloring.
If you'd like my Copic shades - you know I use a lot - just let me know and I'll be
happy to share those!
Then I used Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Oxides Inks and lightly stenciled the coffee beans randomly around the colored image. The makeup brushes worked great, especially for this application where you are wanting a faint stenciled image. I did use a separate brush for each color, then just wiped them clean with a baby wipe when done.
For my die cuts, I selected Memory Box Wrapped Scalloped Rectangles and for the words I used Whimsy Stamps Alpha Die. The sentiment tag die is also by Whimsy Stamps,
Stitched Tag Die.
Thanks for stopping by to see my latest card. Your comments are always welcomed.

what a fun card Pam - your stencilling looks wonderful - I have just got my first brushes and I am loving them - much easier than sponges. I have used a paintbrush and stippled the ink onto the paper, but the (make-up) brushes are way better than that too!
