Silver Bells

 For my second card for Alpha 'S' in a Month of Holiday Cards on Beccy's Place, I've selected Silver Bells.

I wanted this one to be all about the image, so the papers and embellishments are all muted blues, grays and silver.  The Silver Bells were Copic colored and after fussy cutting the image out, I raised it on fun foam, then added to the center of the card front.

Quietly Reflecting

 For my card for Alpha 'Q' in a Month of Holiday Cards on Beccy's Place, I've selected another freebie, this one from way back in November, 2011.  That month Beccy gave us Mum's Coat #188 and then Mum's Quilted Coat #189,  You see, she has always been such a sweet and giving artist!

 As hard as it is some days to get a photo of snow effects or sparkles, these little houses sure reflected quite well.  They were just QUICK cut outs from a paper pack.

Oval Ornament

 For my card for Alpha 'O' in a Month of Holiday Cards on Beccy's Place, I've selected Holly Bauble. This was made available digitally in November 2019.

In previous years I've used this design as Beccy designed it.  I cautiously stretched the perfectly round ornament for this design to make it an Oval Ornament.  While resizing digital image to fit our designs is what makes them fun to work with we also have to be respectful of the designers work if we make the slightest change.  If you're ever in doubt, contact the designer first! 

I also colored the ornament in  two shades of Pale Orange along with the leaves are done in Lime Green and Ocean Green .

 For my card for Alpha 'N' in a Month of Holiday Cards on Beccy's Place, I've selected Christmas Goose who of course happens to be sitting on a Nest. While this started in the early 16th century as an European tradition, I for one am glad the Turkeys are plentiful for our feasts at Thanksgiving!

I am using several New dies for some of the cards in this monthly challenge.  This one is Gina Marie Designs Eyelet Elegance Rectangles and I really love the lacy effect it brings to the cards.

It's A Snowy Day

In Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards, the second 'wild card challenge' has been given. 

Use tartan, plaid or checked patterned to decorate our project.

During some of the 'Treasure Hunts' Beccy has us doing, I came across these two snow images from 2014.   Again 'Free' from Beccy, the generous artist!  

I've put them together to make this snowy day card in which I used a green background plaid cardstock as my accent pieces to meet the wild card challenge.

Get Your Merry On!

I'm back this afternoon to post with the All Dressed Up Digital Stamps Design Team as we open the November Challenge Blog.  I've selected their Christmas Penguin for my project today and made this Christmas card. 

 I sized the image for a 5 1/2" card base, then printed it and used Copic markers for the coloring.  Afterwards I trimmed closely along the top edge then inked with a black brush marker.

For the background I used a lighter pink cardstock and the Nellie Snellen Snow Embossing folder.  I added the blue mat to the square card base, then secured the embossed snow cardstock, then added the trimmed design at the bottom edge. Next I added the embossed sentiment at the top right and the addition of the coordinating organza ribbon and bow.  For the final touch I added the bell at the knot in the bow.

Incredible Icing

For the Alpha 'I' in a Month of Holiday Cards on Beccy's Place, I searched for a while to find a different image.  When I came across the Chocolate Strawberries I knew I'd found something I could work with. 

There wasn't a tutorial with Beccy's beautifully colored berries and I wanted my 'icing' to look real like hers.  I pulled up a reference from Vanilla Art and was totally surprised to see the Copic colors included B66!  But I loved how it worked ~ Isn't that Incredible!

Change Colors

With 26 letters in the alphabet and 30 days in November, participating in Beccy's Place challenge you have to be prepared for 4 days of 'wild card' cards! 

Today is the first one that Beccy has tossed 'Over the Pond".  Our challenge is to make two cards the same but different.  We're to use the stamp stamp and layout but color it differently.

I used Penny Black's Christmas Blush for these two cards.
