My Favorite Chickadee

Time to switch gears to Easter now that we 'wore our green' for the past weekend and had our traditional Irish feast.

Starting the week off with this cute stamp set from Brutus Monroe, My Favorite Chickadee.

The fun things about starting Easter cards is we can finally feel great about using spring colors!   Even using the darker Copic BG49, I'm able to blend all the way to BG13 in the bow and shadow under the stamped image.

After completing the image with various other Copic colors, I used the Gina Marie Designs Nesting Scalloped Stitched Rectangles for the decorative edge.  The card base is a standard A2 size with the floral patterned mat.   Then I secured the completed image in center.

I stamped the sentiment from the set using Versa Fine Clair Warm Breeze ink and die cut the sentiment and mat with an oval bookmark die set.  I secured both at an angle on the left of the image and trimmed them even with the card front edge.   Lastly I randomly added the three enamel dots to complete this card design.

Thank you for stopping by today to view my blog. I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to 'Follow' my blog and to visit my site - "Not Just Scraps' on Facebook - where you can purchase my cards.
