Nativity Joy!

Today's letter is 'N' for Beccy's Place 30 day Christmas Card challenge as we are over half way through the month!  I hope you are enjoying the cards as much as I did making them.  Maybe you are playing along with Beccy too!

This card is probably the most special of all the ones I have made or will make for the 2022 Christmas Season.

For the past couple of years, my church has allowed me to make the Christmas Card from the church family to be used with our Connie Maxwell Children's Home gifts.  What an honor and a privilege this is for me.

This year I selected a Precious Moments digital of the Nativity scene.

To make this card, I sized the image to just under 4" and printed it on 110# Neenah cardstock.  It's colored with Copic markers which are referenced below.

I made the 6" square card base out of a cream cardstock, then added the background matting of the gifts from the wise men.

Next I secured the completed image in the center of the top fold base and added the small sentiment tag with a tiny black enamel dot from my Christmas tag stash.

Lastly I added the coordinating olive green string at the top, wrapping it three times, then adding the cross charm in the knot.

I also added the printed sentiment inside:

May the Joy of our Savior's birth

be with you every day.

Thank you for stopping by today to view my blog. I enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to 'Follow' my blog and to visit my site - "Not Just Scraps' on Facebook - where you can purchase my cards.

  2. What an honour to make such a special card Pam, and a big compliment on your talent as well. You selected the perfect image and did a really wonderful job with the colouring. I love the addition of the bronze cross on the piece of green twine too.
    Cheers,
    Beccy

  3. What a beautiful image Pam, and I love how you have coloured it - that you used a cross charm is so appropriate, for what would Christmas be without Easter?
