Thankful Owl

I'm back again with another posting as the first of the month is a busy day for me being on multiple Design Teams.  

This afternoon I'm posting with Morgan's ArtWorld as she issues her August Blog Challenge.  For my project card using her art, I've selected her Owl 1 Digital stamp and made this fall thankful card.

I started by sizing the image to about 4 1/2" tall and printed it on Neenah 110# cardstock.  I used Copic markers for coloring and have referenced them below.  Even though it's just the first of August, I was glad to use the colors of fall in the leaves and select a pretty autumn leaf matting paper.  

I used Carnation Crafts Pretty Shabby Square Labels for the decorative edges on the image and the mat.  The card base is 6" square and is covered with the yellow gold patterned paper.  Then I secured the two other layers on top as shown in the photo.  I pulled out a small piece of burgundy cardstock that matched the leaves, and die cut the 'Thankful', then secured it across the bottom right corner to complete the card design.
