I guess we all have a favorite animal ~ maybe several different ones that we love. For me I've always loved the hummingbird and use this delicate image for my logo on many pieces of my work. But I'm so very intrigued by the giraffe that it has quickly become at the top of my list also. My precious hummingbirds have taken a step aside as the tall and lanky giraffe figures, photos, stamps and other replicas continue to fill up my spare spaces.
Today's card is made using another one of my new Christmas presents, Impression Obsessions, Baby Giraffe.
I stamped the main image using Memento ink and the sentiment using Versa Fine ink onto Neenah 110# card stock. I then colored the giraffe using my Copic Markers. I added a light blue shading around the giraffe to soften the image. I die cut the image and the rust color matting using the Memory Makers Matinee Rectangle Layers Die Cut and then mounted both on a Kraft colored A2 sized card base. I added the brown twine and leaf charm on the folded edge to complete the card.
