This afternoon I'm back with a second posting, this time with my Design Team ladies from The Corrosive Challenge Blog with a new month (#11) and a new sponsor. For November our sponsors are: The Art of Ching Chou Kuik and Fred She Said Designs.
For my project card I'm using Fred She Said's image Winter Birds - Blue Tit Digi
I wanted to make the bird a little differently so I decided to make her dimensional. Here's my finished card, then several photos and details on how I went through the steps to get to the end result.
Next I took the first colored bird and die cut her in a circle with the Gina Marie Design Pleated Lace Circle Die. I covered an A2 sized card base vertically with a Christmas flower patterned paper, then added the colored image toward the top center of the card base. Using my Misti, I stamped 'Merry Christmas' from Gina Marie Designs winter Flourished Stamp Set, die cut the ends, and added across the bottom half of the card base.
Now to add the 'Mod Podge Bird'. On the Card Base Bird - I placed two small foam squares in the center of the bird's body and then carefully put glue on the feet and legs of the bird on the card base. I carefully placed the Mod Podge Bird's feet onto the branch, then laid her body onto the foam square, making sure she was lined up straight and held her there for a few second to let the glue dry good.
Thank you for stopping by today. I
enjoy sharing my work with you and invite you to “Follow” my blog and to visit
my site ~ “Not Just Scraps” on Facebook ~ where you can purchase my cards.
