It's always a pleasure to get an order for a card for a child when they request one of their favorite animals. But I will admit I did do a slight double take when my friend asked for a special Valentine card for this young man to be made with a Shark! Luckily my immediate response was, "I have a stamp for that!"
Here's my completed card, then a few details so you can create a 'Shark' Card for your favorite kiddo too!
For this card I used the stamp set Say Cheese from Spellbinders, Fun Stamper's Journey. I stamped the large mouth shark on Neenah 110# card stock and colored him with my Copic markers. I die cut the light blue bubbles with the Elizabeth Craft Circles die. I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh set and die cut it using the Gina Marie Designs Nesting Labels #2.
I used a standard A2 card base and covered it with a multi-colored mat. After gluing the bubbles and the sentiment down, I positioned the shark in the spot to cover up the least amount of bubbles. I took a small wobbler and attached it to the card base and then to the back of the shark at the widest point. Now when you pick the card up or shake it, the shark appears to be swimming right toward the card receiver.
I’ll be entering this card in the following challenges:
